Yes, consuming a moderate amount of herbal tea daily is a very healthy choice for most people. It is better to drink 2 to 4 cups of herbal tea per day. Consuming too many cups can create side effects.

Most herbs are safe and effective but if you are taking aspirin or blood thinner-type medicine, we advise you not to take herbal tea. Reacting with those medicines, herbal tea can lead to liver damage, kidney failure, and other major concerns. Be sure to discuss any herbs you are taking with your doctor.

There are thousands of herbal teas out there and none of them naturally have any caffeine in them. With one exception—yerba mate, a type of herbal tea native to South America, and it’s naturally caffeinated. Presently, only one of our blends—Belly Dancer—contains yerba mate. Each serving contains 2-3 grams of yerba mate, providing roughly 20-40mg of caffeine per (8 oz.) cup. For comparison, one (8 oz.) cup of brewed coffee contains about 70–140 mg of caffeine, or about 95 mg on average.

All of our loose blends are sustainably packaged using rice paper bags which are recyclable and protect our environment while guaranteeing superior freshness, flavor, and aroma. Also, we use non-chlorine (oxygen) bleached teabag paper which is made of completely non-bleached paper.

There are several herbs that are safe for children and can be healthy options compared to sugary drinks. Herbal tea can help manage the symptoms of some mild illnesses like colds, allergies, or motion sickness. However, they should never be given to a baby under 6 months of age because it could contain harmful bacteria or cause an allergic reaction. If your child has any ongoing health issues or medical concerns, it's always best to be sure to check the ingredients and talk to their doctor before giving them to a child.

We believe that how a tea is brewed can make all the difference between an amazing tea experience and an unremarkable one. In order to experience the full power of the plants, our herbal blends generally require 30-45 minutes of steeping. This longer steeping time allows for the beneficial components in the herbs to be extracted into the water yielding a powerful, complete, and balanced tea infusion! To prepare a smaller dose of tea, don't use a shorter steeping time. Instead, brew of full cup of tea as directed but only drink a portion of the tea. This method ensures that you receive the full benefits!
